Ardif: the street art between architecture, mechanics, and nature
Ardif, a Paris-based street artist, creates unique works that blend architecture, machines, and natural elements. During his studies in architecture, he developed an interest in the aesthetics of buildings and mechanical srtuctures at various scales, leading him to explore the interactions between these elements in his art.
In 2016, Ardif ventured into street art and introduced his famous Mechanimals to the streets of Paris. These hybrid creations, balancing between the organic and the mechanical, merge animals with highly detailed architectural patterns in a steampunk style.
Through this urban wildlife, Ardif challenges us to reflect on the impact of nature’s artificialization and the search for primal instinct in modern life. His work becomes a true urban safari, inviting viewers to explore the complex relationship between nature and technology in our everyday surroundings.
